WNUSP chair, Moosa Salie, and International representative on the board, Tina Minkowitz, attended the 4th COSP, and associated meetings at the UN headquarters in New York, between 6-9 September 2011.

On the 6th IDA hosted two events: in the morning it hosted a meeting of international DPO's and NGO's and after lunch the second meeting of its annual Civil Society Forum. Tina Minkowitz is shown here doing a brief intervention on behalf of the WNUSP at the DPO/NGO meeting.

On the 8th Tina and Moosa presented a WNUSP side event, in conference room E, at the UN. See pic above and flyer (word doc) which was distributed in advance of the event.

On the 9th Moosa participated in the first Panel of Experts (POE) meeting, of the current UN Special Rapporteur on Disability, Shuaib Chaklen from South Africa. Moosa represented the WNUSP at the POE.
